Healthy Children. Strong Families. Resilient Communities.

HEALTH SECTOR
We strengthen health systems so that every child can access quality care. CFL supports community–facility linkages, digital health tools and child-centred services, including mental health and psychosocial support, with a special focus on children in hard-to-reach communities and in residential care such as orphanages.

At Children for Life (CFL), we strive to deliver solutions as part of a holistic system that connects health, education, protection, and livelihoods—ensuring every child survives, thrives, and is protected.

Every Child Deserves Access to Quality Health Care Services
Children for Life works with ministries of health, local government authorities, health facilities and communities to prevent disease, promote healthy behaviours and ensure that vulnerable children can obtain care without financial or social barriers. Our programmes deliberately include children who are often overlooked – such as those in poor urban settlements, remote rural areas and alternative care arrangements including orphanages and other residential centres.
We support community health workers and facility staff to identify, refer and follow up at-risk children; promote immunisation and early detection of illness; and integrate caregiver counselling on child development and mental health. Simple digital tools – such as SMS reminders, electronic referrals and mobile data collection – help track appointments, monitor follow-up and generate evidence for better decision-making.
In emergency or fragile contexts, CFL works with humanitarian partners to maintain essential health services for children, including those in orphanages and temporary shelters, making sure that no child is left behind when systems are under stress.
